Appointment Preparation

To help you have a positive experience at Animal & Bird Veterinary Medical Center Inc. please be prepared for your pet's visit. For your pet's safety please have dogs on leashes, cats in carriers and birds in carriers or cages. Your pet should be seen at least once a year and preferably every 6 months. Remember pets age faster than people so every 6 months is equivalent to several years for humans.

It is often helpful to have a written list of questions and or concerns about your pet. Our staff will gladly do our best to answer your questions and calm your concerns.

First Visit

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment in order to fill out the necessary medical paperwork. To expedite the appointment process we recommend you download and complete any necessary client forms and bring them with you to your appointment. It's important for us to know as much of your pet's medical history as possible, including vaccine history, any operations, allergies, prior illness and medications as well as any behavioral issues that you might be able to share with us. Copies of medical records are very helpful but we can always request them for you. We do understand that many times there is no previous history available.

Clients

If you are an existing client please please check that we have your correct contact information. If you are scheduling an appointment for a new pet please complete the necessary forms or arrive a few minutes early.

Please tell us if your pet needs medication refills. Informing us ahead of time allows us to have your pet's medication ready when you arrive.
